The master plan for Summerlin is based on the unfolding of thirty separate "villages" grouped around a major business center and the town center, Summerlin Centre. It is projected that Summerlin will be home to over 160,000 residents within the next twenty-five years.

Summerlin also includes seven miles of residential roads and five miles of arterial roads, two golf courses including the 18 hole championship private Tournament Players Club at Summerlin and the 18-hold daily fee course, Tournament Players Club at the Canyons.
